Sunday morning waltz music
Rob Zisette grew up with music and dance since the age of 8 as fiddler for the family band, Toss the Possum. Now in his twenties he continues to play in that and other bands, write music, and lead dance workshops and host blues dances.
He will host a blues dance Friday night, and teach some of his favorite dance moves and flourishes on Saturday. He will also play for open waltzing on Sunday morning.

Introduction to Cape Breton Stepdance
Learn the basics of traditional Cape Breton Stepdancing--no experience necessary! This traditional percussive dance traveled to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia from the Scottish Highlands and is the basis for both social and individual dancing in the folk traditions there.
In this introductory workshop we will go over the basic steps for the 3 standard dance tunes in Cape Breton and you'll be able to do a short routine by the end.
Neil Pearlman has stepdanced with some of the best Cape Breton fiddlers including performing with Natalie MacMaster's show when he was 11 years old.
